When the weather is warm, the heavy pasta and hearty dishes that once kept you warm and cozy during the winter months become defunct! Eating lighter, easy-to-prepare meals are what summer is all about in the Hamptons and Hollywood. Plus, you can’t maintain that #summerbody after scarfing down three helpings of mashed potatoes and gravy, much to the dismay of leg-gap seekers everywhere.

The solution? A charcuterie plate! These custom-made “cuisine on a board” meals are full of options because you can design everything yourself to appeal to each and every diet and each and every food preference.

Have to feed the family? You can create a special plate for each and every member of your brood! It’s the ultimate dream recipe for picky eaters everywhere AND you don’t have to worry about superficial additives that might be showing up in your childrens’/families’ food.

I’m doing that low-carb thang for summatime, so my board included fresh pear slices, genoa salami, three types of olives (because venturing to GREECE has been on my mind lately), brie, muenster, and bleu cheeses, and of course my top 3 favorite fruits: Pineapple, Kiwi, and Strawberries. YUM-tastic. Fun veggies like carrot sticks and celery are always good options too. Get creative!

Don’t want to go out one weekend? Have a charcuterie-making party with friends and stay in with a bottle of wine (or CHAMPAGNE) and watch the new season of Orange Is The New Black!
