Sure, the Hamptons are synonymous with tanned skin, sandy toes, and rosé for days, but traveling out East can be a fun wintertime experience too.

1. Snag Your Favorite Accommodations
Snuggled up in warm, cozy sheets with your significant other in that prime ocean view suite? Life doesn’t get much better, if you ask us. Check out Gurney’s and the Southampton Inn for great winter deals on rooms. Plus, Gurney’s has a host of spa-centric amenities to pamper yourself with.

2. Shop Without the Crowds
The best stores like Love Adorned are open year-round and offer apparel, decorations, and furnishings to liven up your beach house.

3. Visit Classic Restaurants
Remember in August when performing brain surgery seemed easier than scoring a restaurant reservation in the Hamptons? Nick & Toni’s and The Harvest are definite favorites, while 75Main in Southampton is great for Italian comfort food.

4. Hang With The Locals
Have you ever felt like a local Hamptonite was giving you the stink-eye as you sipped rosé at the Surf Lodge while wearing your favorite seersucker shorts? Well, they probably were. BUT, this is you chance to make a good impression on them when you come back for summer. Montauk bars like Liar’s and Shagwong are local gems you shouldn’t pass up.

5. Drink (duh)
What’s the phrase? “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry?” Yes, that’s it, and you can do so at Stephen Talkhouse, of course, and Rowdy Hall, where a bite and brew will have you dancing all night long.

6. Take a Beach Walk
This might sound crazy, but there’s something about bundling up, grabbing a large coffee, and hitting the sand for a leisurely stroll that is blisteringly romantic. Grab someone you like, wrap your arms around each other, and watch the waves break.
