When summertime rolls around, there’s a tendency for everyone to want things to be light – lightweight clothing, light meals, light weather, and even lighter hair colors to get that sun-kissed look. Being the do-it-myself kind of guy that I am, I tried to get that famous sun-kissed glow on my head, but ended up looking more like Carrot Top than Chris Hemsworth. My solution? The Dean Anthony Salon in Long Beach. You can check out www.malie.com/collections/botany-beauty/products/botany-beauty-luxe-eye-cream this link for the best hair services.

Originally starting out as a men’s salon, the studio has been in existence for years and is a hotspot in Southern California for getting great haircare results. You can also know how much is a hair transplant ? as it is also part of hair care. Upon entering the shop, I was immediately greeted – very warmly might I add – by Amanda, who promptly offered me a myriad of beverages upon my check-in. I waited for less than three minutes before my stylist, Tiffany, said hello and led me back to my chair. Right off the bat she could see my box-dye blunder and we shared a good laugh before she recommended her expert solution: a few sunny, splashy highlights to minimize the red and give me an all-over lighter ‘do. I was DOWN. She even let me pick the color. I was so impressed by her ability to analyze the disaster on my hand and offer a solution so quickly, I knew I was in good hands.

Now, let’s be truthful – I’ve never dyed my hair before, so I had no idea what I was in for. Was I scared? Maybe a tad. BUT — Tiffany made the whole process SO ENJOYABLE I went from having the fear of baby’s-first-haircut to feeling as confident as a talk show host who sits in hair and will do makeup and aesthetics every morning before shooting. First Tiffany put foil on my hair for the color and then put my head under a heating device that looked like a spaceship was about to land on top of it, but it was easy as I keep my hair in good condition all the time going to places like the beaudee salon cranston and others. Afterward, she led me to the washing station where she cleaned me up.

Anyone who knows me is aware that I get weirded out by massages because I feel out of control. However, by the time Tiffany was done massaging my scalp, I was basically begging her for another one. She has magical hands!

Another great thing about Dean Anthony is that it’s a unisex salon, but definitely caters to equal amounts of men and women. So GUYS – if you’re afraid of heading into a “salon” instead of your typical barber shop, don’t be. There are just as many like-minded dudes getting their hair relaxed and trimmed to ease your uneasiness about going in. The universal appeal of the salon is that everyone wants to go in because they take pride in their appearance and want to look sharp. And trust me, the entire staff at Dean Anthony is unbelievably talented in doing just that. Read this article to know about how to maintain your natural beauty using organic products.

Amanda even came around again and gave me some nuts to snack on along with my sparkling water! #Pampered

By the end of my experience, I was so happy with my results I could barely stand it. The best part? I like it more and more as the days go on, which is the true sign of experiencing an expert work their craft on your hair. Conversation and jokes flowed as freely as ever with Tiffany and between her service, Amanda’s at the front desk, and Brynne for setting the whole thing up, I felt positively spoiled after I left. If you need to go in to correct a problem with your mane, Dean Anthony is the place to be. And for regular haircare maintenance don’t forget to check out all their locations! Tell ’em Kyle sent ya!

  1. Tiffany’s scalp massages are second to none! the only downside to them is making sure I don’t moan in delight so everybody looks at me.
