Feeling blue? On a blue streak? Maybe, but honestly, we’re just missing summer.
Blue and white are our FAVORITE colors at Hamptons to Hollywood, and it’s probably because they’re both classic, preppy, and evoke that signature beachy vibe, made famous in both Malibu and Montauk.
We hit the streets for a photoshoot in an attempt to feel those baby blue days of summer again, despite it only being February.
This outfit is actually completely unisex, and works for the prepster on both the east and west coast. Simple, fitted khakis paired with a denim button-up are a classic combo, but pairing them with a peek-a-boo white v-neck underneath adds a taste of sophistication and a clean-cut look.
Q: Who are your fashion inspirations?
A: For guys, I love JFK Jr., Kiel James Patrick, and James Dean for his simplicity and effortless cool factor.
Q: Describe your everyday style.
A: I lean toward the casual, but a must that I’ve realized over the years is that FIT goes way further than anything else. You could be wearing a Dolce & Gabbana jacket and Gucci slacks, but if they aren’t tailored to fit your body, it’s a fashion fail. I look back at old pictures of myself and cringe.
Q: What’s your fashion aesthetic?
A: Preppy casual.
Q: What is ONE staple that everyone should have in their closet?
A: For guys & girls – a good tailored pair of blue jeans. They’re so versatile.
Q: What are the Top 3 Items every self-respecting Prep should have?
A: Tailored khakis, a well-made blazer, and a solid pair of boat shoes.
Q: If you can only buy 1 pair of shoes, but love two, how do you choose which to purchase?
A: I have a hierarchy of selecting
1. Comfort – do you physically feel good in them?
2. Confidence – do you mentally feel good in them?
3. Color – will it go with what you already have in your closet?
If you can’t choose by those, buy a pair of jeans instead.

I remember when me and your mom were shopping and she bought you your 1st pair of boat shoes. You couldn’t tie your shoes yet. At first you didn’t like them but you grew to love them.
And look at me now! My Mom always knew what I liked 😉
