As the weather is turning a bit colder in both the Hamptons and Hollywood, everyone is starting to crave warm and cozy comfort food. At Hamptons to Hollywood, that means Italian – we LOVE Italian.

Being currently based in Los Angeles, we wanted to feature an authentic Italian eatery that boasted an awesome ambiance with delicious cuisine. Our answer? Hollywood’s oldest Italian restaurant: Miceli’s.

Located just off Hollywood Boulevard, the choice for the eatery was actually Jon’s, claiming it was something Hamptons to Hollywood would love. And we did! Upon entering, a melodic wave of classical piano tunes hits us, transporting us to what seemed like a restaurant that would be found in Manhattan’s Little Italy rather than just off Hollywood Boulevard.

We were seated in the piano room and were serenaded by the pianist as he played an eclectic assortment of tunes, from Disney to Enya, each one offering a bit of welcome nostalgia.

The bread was fuhgeddaboutit, of course, and for our mains, I chose the Chicken Lasagna, while Jon went with some healthier fare in the Chicken Cacciatore. Both were AMAZING. Paired with two glasses of cabernet, I fantasized it was the trip to Rome we had wanted to take this year.

Miceli’s rates high on our Hollywood restaurant list because of the entertainment, solid reputation, and delicious selection of authentic Italian dishes that will satisfy locals and visitors alike.

Buon Apetito!
