In partnership with our friends at Taimi

Catfishing /ˈkatˌfiSH/ (n): to lure (someone) into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona.

The majority of any and all online daters, it’s sad to report, have gone through some kind of catfishing episode. Whether it was a more mild “hey, here’s a picture of me from four years ago,” or they completely use pictures of people other than themselves in attempt to woo possible suitors.

Taimi is looking to change that.

In the Taimi app, users have the option to video chat the people they find attractive, or who they’re chatting with, in an effort to cut down on catfishing. Don’t think the guy you like could possibly be that handsome? Give him a call and find out!

Check out our fun video below that illustrates the video chat feature. Who knows, Taimi might be just the thing that allows you to meet your soulmate.
