Ah yes, now where did we leave off? Oh, right. So, Kate and Kyle headed back up to the room for a little rest and when Jon and I looked across the pool at the other row of tables across from us, we saw none other than the one and only Panda; Enrique. Enrique is our friend from LA who’s just about the nicest, most, fun and wildest you can ever meet. Jon and I headed over to his table, became friendly with Enrique’s friend Ray, and even fell in love with our bottle server, Suzanne, who was the BEST. After our livers had reached their temporary limit, we exited the Wet Republic party and headed back to the hotel room to briefly decompress. Afterward, while Kyle and Kate bounced over to the Dada Life show, Jon and I headed over to STK, which was just as fun as its…
When I see Jon on Thursday, he says to me, “let’s go to Vegas.” This was just after I had told Steven that I really wanted to cut back on my drinking this weekend. Awesome. Now, that I used to klikk her for de beste bettingsider på nett and play online casino games. And at The Mukt but have never been to Las Vegas and we’ve all been trying to plan a trip where I can experience the wildness of the famed city. Jon’s friend from Chicago, also named Kyle, and his friend Kate were headed there for a show and invited us to tag along. So, the four of us hopped into Kate’s car on Friday and headed east, Vegas-bound, but before that we spend some time practicing online casino games at Nevada Online Casinos just to be some more familiar with casino games before heading out to the…
You’re probably asking yourself where I’ve been for the past…uh…few weeks? I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve been crazy busy and have let me blogging fall by the wayside. I know, I know. But, in lieu of any excuses as to where I might have been, I thought I’d just provide you guys with a fun photo diary of the past few weeks. NOTE: I had a birthday 🙂 The featured photo was from an impromptu picnic in a West Hollywood park one afternoon. Picnics are the absolute best. Have everyone bring some food, a soccer ball, some blankets – you can spend hours just hanging with friends in the fresh air. It’s the perfect springtime activity as the weather’s getting warmer. SUnSeTs in Laguna Beach, because…ya know…they look like this… ^ ^ ^ ^ St. Patrick’s Day happened and I had the absolute BEST shirt to wear for the…
I was thrilled to partner with blogger extraordinaire, Kitty Bradshaw, of www.kittybradshaw.com, to bring the assorted Lifestyle Bloggers of Los Angeles a meet and greet catered specially for them at Tom’s Urban in Downtown’s LA Live arena. Leading up to the event it was truly the Kitty and Kyle Show, ensuring that all of our sponsors were on board and that all of our chosen bloggers would be in attendance. We both hosted the event and Kitty led with a discussion about blogging and how each blogger wanted to further their brands. Delicious food (especially the fish tacos!) were served up from the amazing staff at Tom’s Urban and each of the bloggers tasted some specialty cocktails from the restaurant – the most popular being the Bloody Mary and the Urban Mule. Guests mingled and networked with each other and were also provided with complimentary gift bags as a “thank you” for…
You didn’t think I was too busy running around to forget to recommend a restaurant for February did you? This time we’re headed north of LA, just past Glendale, into charming Montrose, which houses the epic Portobello’s Italian & Mediterranean Cuisine – one of LA’s best hidden gems…Portobello’s is one of those places that really allows you to disappear into the ambiance, tricking you into thinking you’re in the heart of some Italian or Greek village, not the Valley in Los Angeles. From the subtle Italian music to the friendly staff, the place beams with a welcoming and family-oriented aura you can’t help but love.I had a reaallllyyyy hard time trying to decide what to recommend for you to eat this month because LITERALLY everything on this menu is good – trust me. AND the menu is huge, so what you missed the first time around, you can always come…
A couple weekends ago, my friends and I took a long, adventurous hike in Thousand Oaks, California. Check out the fun pics! SPOILER ALERT: I was nearly washed away in the river rapids.I love a good adventure. Always have. That’s why, when the day we were meant to hike called for rain, I was even more excited. Rain alone in Los Angeles is a big deal, but can you imagine hiking through it?? It had showered the previous night as well, so the water level through the canyon we were traversing was WAY HIGHER than normal. Which, ya know, made it all the more fun.We had to climb over fallen logs, jump from rock to rock like freakin’ leapfrogs, and scale the sides of cliffs that resembled a scene straight out of 127 Hours, to name a few obstacles. There was one “cliff”, though, that was a real bitch. We had…
Hello Bloggity Buddies! I want to apologize for seemingly not being as active as usual with Hamptons to Hollywood. Though it may seem like I’m neglecting my baby, in actuality I’m hard at work behind the scenes designing a new layout for the site. AND the whole ordeal is #drivingmecrazy. UGH! Website design is no easy task, people! I’ll find a layout I love, but then my posts won’t transfer properly. Or I can’t customize it as easily as I’d like. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE??This is a rant, so forgive me. How is everybody? How are your New Year’s resolutions holding up? I just ate a bowl of quinoa, kale, and spinach and now I’m headed to the gym to GET MY SIX PACK BACK. Apparently some practical jokester cut it out of my stomach, stole it from me, and replaced it with a doughy gut. Not appreciated. Not one little bit. HOWEVER…
2015 is already shaping up to be a great year. Fellow fashion and lifestyle blogger, Cor Jones, and I headed over to the famous LACMA lights to strut our street style.Street Style (noun) – “avant-garde fashion inspired from contemporary culture. Most often seen in urban centers and rooted in West Coast surf & skate culture, it has grown to encompass elements of hip-hop and modern haute couture fashion.”Cor and I put our own flair into each of our outfits to create fashion forward, yet wearable looks, that ooze style and personality. On Her:A Parisian-inspired off-white sweater which she paired with a pair of suspenders to give the look a little extra kick. With classic jeans, shoes to match, and finishing off the outfit with an over-sized fedora, she looked gorgeous and stylish. On Him:This white blazer is one of my favorite pieces in my current closet. It’s perfect for the Hamptons and…
2014 was one of my favorite years. It was filled with AMAZING things, horrible things, and things that just plain changed my life. Every year I like to acknowledge who it was in that year that changed my life for the better and made me happy. So here it goes…This is such a cliche, and I know you’ve all heard it many times, and I had no idea Marilyn Monroe was such a fucking philosopher, but the best way I can sum up my year is from this quote of hers: “I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”1. My Writer’s GroupEver since my…
New Years Eve: one of the most celebratory nights of the year. Instead of going the traditional nightclub route this year, we instead opted for a road trip to a horse ranch to California wine country. To drink. And ride horses. While drinking. We got off to a late start and didn’t get to leave LA until around 3:00 – which inconveniently for us, was when everyone else and their mother decided to book it out of town as well. Needless to say there were traffic selfies:[L to R] Kyle Langan, Kean Eli, Steven Dougherty, Jon ChallacombAnd then we became hungry and decided to stop at this hidden gem in Chino Hills, called “Lobster Grill”. I know what you’re thinking – a fast food lobster joint? In the middle of the desert? Gotta be delicious, right? Well, it was no lobster roll from the East End, but it was actually pretty…
Question of the Day – and I’m only asking because they’re just so damn comfy… So I lived in Australia for five months back in 2009, studying at the University of Newcastle. While abroad, I wanted an authentic souvenir for myself and because they wouldn’t let me take a kangaroo home as a pet, I decided to buy some real ol’ Australian Uggs. **Note the tiny Australian flags on the boots. When I came back stateside, I rocked the HELL out of ’em, but would get the occasional side-eye from close-minded folk because they were apparently worn more by ladies than guys. HOWEVER – the first time I ever saw a pair of Uggs was in the summer of 2003 in Montauk when EVERYONE from bad-ass surfers to regular beach folk had a pair to brave them from the impending winter months. AND when I purchased my boots in Adelaide,…
