Sure, the Hamptons are synonymous with tanned skin, sandy toes, and rosé for days, but traveling out East can be a fun wintertime experience too. 1. Snag Your Favorite Accommodations Snuggled up in warm, cozy sheets with your significant other in that prime ocean view suite? Life doesn’t get much better, if you ask us. Check out Gurney’s and the Southampton Inn for great winter deals on rooms. Plus, Gurney’s has a host of spa-centric amenities to pamper yourself with. 2. Shop Without the Crowds The best stores like Love Adorned are open year-round and offer apparel, decorations, and furnishings to liven up your beach house. 3. Visit Classic Restaurants Remember in August when performing brain surgery seemed easier than scoring a restaurant reservation in the Hamptons? Nick & Toni’s and The Harvest are definite favorites, while 75Main in Southampton is great for Italian comfort food. 4. Hang With The…

Admittedly, we’ve always had a thing for The Kennedys. From their rich history as American royalty, to their fascinating, mysterious, and altogether tragic “curse”, they are a dynasty that after decades, we still can’t get enough of. And perhaps the most culturally significant icon to come from that family, is the beloved Jackie. Born in the summertime of 1929, right in Southampton Hospital, Jackie was a Hamptonite, quite literally, from birth. Bred from a Wall Street tycoon father and socialite mother, Jackie was named for her father, John “Black Jack” Bouvier, and spent her time like many New Yorkers do, between Manhattan and the Hamptons. While in East Hampton, Jackie often spent her time riding horses and by age eleven was a champion equestrian, scoring a double victory in a horseman competition. Her childhood home in East Hampton, Lesata, which in Native American is translated to “place of peace”, recently…

When out East, there are many colorful characters. From salty Long Island locals to imprudent Manhattan socialites to peculiar foreigners navigating the uncharted waters of the Hamptons for the first time. The ladies of the island though, are truly a mixed bunch. You’ve seen them lunching with friends, working in galleries, and jetting down Montauk Highway in outrageously expensive vehicles. But who are they really? The housewives of the Hamptons can be defined in five particular archetypes… The Southampton Heiress A longtime member of the Hamptons social scene, this woman is supremely beautiful, but almost seems bored by the East End, though she would shudder to think of spending an entire summer elsewhere. Bred in the finest prep schools and having “married up”, this Hamptons aficionado only frequents the finest eateries and loves a good charity event, where she might even be surprisingly stringent in her spending. Hobbies include spa…

What’s a weekend in the Hamptons without a little luxury? The Hamptons to Hollywood crew headed out East last weekend and partnered with one of our favorite brands, BMW, for a weekend of fun, sun, revelry, and a little decadence, as always. BMW of Southampton was AMAZING and gave us the 228i xDrive convertible to cruise in from Southampton to Montauk to give us the true Hamptons experience. The entire team at the Southampton dealership was exceptional. Not only do they take amazing care of their vehicles, but they have that certain Long Island charm that you just can’t find anywhere else. It was like Dad was giving us the keys to his prized possession for the weekend, not like we were dealing with an international corporation; they just provide that family-esque feeling as soon as you step into the showroom. And it isn’t hard to see why; BMW of…

Out East this weekend? We’ll be there too. But listen up, ladies! There are a few things you should absolutely not neglect throwing into your duffel… Hat Hats are kinda the thing right now – every chic beach babe is wearing one. Not only do they deflect the harsh Hamptons sun from infiltrating your pretty mug, but they also make you look ultra decadent while at a soiree or summer barbecue. Shades The last thing you need is eye damage and don’t selfies always turn out a little better when you’re donning a pair of your favorite sunnies? We recommend at least a pair of aviators and a pair of wayfarer-esque-shaped specs. The first are from Juicy Couture and are a standard aviator shape, which flatter many faces, despite their reputation. The other are a pair of cat-eye Tory Burch sunglasses that will make your bone structure look ON FLEEK.…

ATTN: Champagne Society, SO. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but I WROTE A FREAKIN’ BOOK! Yeah, it’s true, one of my lifelong dreams is actually coming to fruition. Way back in 2009, while I was studying abroad in Australia having the time of my life, I went through a period of a few days where I really started to miss my core group of friends from my college back in the States. As it turned out, I channeled that creative energy into my favorite form of art, namely writing, and somehow this story POURED out of me. Seriously. It’s like it wrote itself while my fingers just tapped the keyboard. The book is a Young Adult Novel where most of the characters featured are based on exaggerated incarnations of important people in my life. Just before Christmas this past year I submitted the manuscript, after not having looked at…

As most of you know, the term “preppy” isn’t just an adjective to describe me or my style – it’s more of a LIFEstyle – something I have always been attracted to. Spending summers on Eastern Long Island, prepdom was well-displayed and moreover, the casual luxury style ran rampant in my upbringing. With the commencement of summer mere days away, I wanted to kick off my favorite season with one of my favorite menswear designers who shares the same vision, Scott Barber; the head of a lifestyle brand that prides itself on creating a well-styled life for those who don its threads. I teamed up with the Scott Barber crew and sported some new gear for summer that I instantly fell in love with – from the color palette to the fabric, the pieces were light, comfortable, and showcased a distinct look that oozed pride and fearlessness – but not…

I LOVE music – and I prescribe it to live a healthy Hamptons to Hollywood lifestyle. It’s one of my biggest inspirations, whether I’m working on a blog post or thinking up the next blockbuster I’d like to star in. And then I remembered my friend Anna Rose is an accomplished pop singer so I HAD to check out her tunes…and now I’m totally fan-boying over her. PERFECT jams for your next hike at Runyon or Hamptons Beach run.Anna Rose joined my Writer’s Group about a year ago (?) and as soon as she did, I knew we’d be buds. Her perpetual perkiness and fun-loving spirit rivaled my own dreamy optimism and positivity and what’s more; she’s a super talented performer – both in the singing and acting arenas. So I plugged in my headphones and started listening to her songs and kinda loved them as soon as the beat hit…

The Hamptons International Film Festival was my first ever Film Fest, so obviously it holds a special place in my heart. I attended all the way back in 2010 when Black Swan was all the rage and I even saw the underseen Jessica Alba vehicle, An Invisible Sign.As the festival has grown though, even bigger and more hotly anticipated movies have been screening, all in preparation for AWARDS SEASON – holy crap is it here already? What’s going on with MR. GOLDEN GLOBE???My Picks for HIFF This Year:Whiplash – So I’m really not a huge fan of Miles Teller at all. I think he’s the wrong kind of cocky, BUT, the kid can act. Rabbit Hole, anyone? In this film, centering on him as an aspiring drummer, he really dives into his character and is rumored to give a drop-dead-awesome performance. I definitely would check this one out, guys. It…

Call me nuts, but sometimes I miss the collegiate life. The knowledge, the socializing, the keggers…So it was nostalgia that led me to Cal State Long Beach as I tried to blend in and pretend I was a super senior for the afternoon. To further the college vibe, I dressed entirely in Abercrombie for the occasion with a dark pair of skinny jeans and a classic woven button-down, which, I must admit, A&F knows how to do. I mean they’ve been around since the 1800s so obviously they’ve had time to master crafting quality apparel.  You’d think I was having neck problems the way I kept posing for this photoshoot, so please don’t ask me why that was happening. OH – I even dug into the archives of my closet and pulled out my old lacrosse jacket, which I thought was a fitting (and it still fit!) way to complete…
