When summertime rolls around, there’s a tendency for everyone to want things to be light – lightweight clothing, light meals, light weather, and even lighter hair colors to get that sun-kissed look. Being the do-it-myself kind of guy that I am, I tried to get that famous sun-kissed glow on my head, but ended up looking more like Carrot Top than Chris Hemsworth. My solution? The Dean Anthony Salon in Long Beach. You can check out www.malie.com/collections/botany-beauty/products/botany-beauty-luxe-eye-cream this link for the best hair services. Originally starting out as a men’s salon, the studio has been in existence for years and is a hotspot in Southern California for getting great haircare results. You can also know how much is a hair transplant ? as it is also part of hair care. Upon entering the shop, I was immediately greeted – very warmly might I add – by Amanda, who promptly offered me…
Whether your days in the Hamptons are winding down for the summer or you’re still soaking up the LA rays, flip flops are a way of life – but sometimes it’s hard to find just the PERFECT pair. I, however, found some luck in a pair of sandals called Sand by Saya, which, get this, even SMELL good. Whaaaattt?Call me crazy, but it’s true. My pair of Sands have a very subtle and soothing vanilla aroma, which smells exactly like my surfboard wax, so these little babies scream summer – or if you’re on the west coast, are suitable for everyday wear. They’re comfy, yet have durable soles, so you can don’t have to worry about a stray nail popping up through the bottom of your foot while you’re on the docks at the marina. Based in New York, Sand by Saya uses a retro sewing machine to make all their…

I decided to investigate LA’s underground music scene last night in Hollywood, and boy was I glad I did. On Hollywood Boulevard rests Harvard and Stone, an industrial, tavern-esque bar I had never heard of, but found unique in that it somehow managed to juggle the “drinking with friends in a cozy log cabin” vibe juxtaposed with being at a huge monolithic warehouse perfectly acceptable for a rager. As soon as I walked in, four young men were commanding the stage, wooing the crowd with their bouncy, feel-good rock rhythms. The band, of course, was The World Record, famous in their own right for making a name for themselves as an LA indie rock band. Band mates, Andy Creighton, Aaron Ballard, Brian James, and Jacob Summers grooved together effortlessly and exuded the kind of love for music you only remember seeing from ’70s rock and roll bands – of course,…
In order to get my smiling mug out to the public for the campaign, I set up a couple photoshoots for myself. Tom Silk was the first photog, and the pics came out awesomely. Here are a few…
Since my last post was not as popular as I would have hoped, I decided to include a picture of myself supporting Movember. You can still register your mustache HERE, to support men’s health and prostate cancer.I think I’m finally pulling off the ruggedly handsome look, if I do say so myself.
I have a beard… …ish. My fellow mustache care aficionados – tis the season! It’s No-Shave-November, Movember if you will, the time of year when growing a mustache or beard is perfectly acceptable. I wrote an article on it for Guest of a Guest last year, which you can read HERE if you feel so inclined. It’s kind of a cool feeling for once. It’s different, yeah, but different can be good. I’ve always dreamed about doing it, but haven’t had a solid chance since I’ve worked for Abercrombie for the past year where being hairless is their calling card. That and when I go in for auditions, I clearly can’t be sporting some massive growth on my face when in my headshot my cheeks are as smooth…
