The Venice Canals – a true landmark of Los Angeles and its funky, surprising culture. One minute you’re at the freak show on the Venice boardwalk, and within minutes you can be in one of the most tranquil spots in LA. You’ve seen them featured in countless films from Valentine’s Day to Role Models, but I decided to truly dress for the occasion and bring a little Hamptons flair to the Venice hotspot. Cue the prepdom; complete with seersucker and, duh, Champagne! For my stroll around the Canals I went with a navy blazer, basic white v-neck t-shirt, seersucker shorts cut above the knee for that extra preppy feel, Sperry’s, and a fun Captain’s hat to complete the look. I know, right? Don’t worry, my yacht picked me right up after my leisurely walk. And because I invented the Champagne Society, I though to myself, “Self, why not incorporate a…

Okay, Champagne Society, let’s not get too loose. Just because it’s summer and the Hamptons to Hollywood lifestyle is all about being casually fun and luxurious, it doesn’t mean schlepping yourself to the beach is your only responsibility. We all gotta dress up once in a while! After all, summer is wedding season – or so I hear from people unlike us who aren’t in relationships…(grabs a pint of Ben & Jerry’s) ANYWHO. Bows-n-Ties, the awesome company that I worked with over Memorial Day Weekend to show off some designer duds, recently popped out this gem of summer style that I’m obsessed with. Designed by Puccini, it’s the perfect piece of neckwear to don to a classy summer event; it’s stately, not stuffy, and light and breezy enough to evoke the perfect air of summer style. OH – did you forget to buy your Dad a gift for Father’s Day…

Summer is officially here! You know what that means; day-long adventures at the beach, tanned skin, cold drinks, wild nights, and fun with friends. Does it get much better? As you all know, the Hamptons to Hollywood pick for menswear swimsuits is Syndicut London! The good news? They just cranked out an entire new line for even more variety to be seen on the beaches from Montauk to Malibu. I decided to do a little exploring on the beach in Marina Del Rey in Syndicut’s new “Syniwave” print, designed by George Lewin. What’s fun about this print is that from far away it’s unassuming and a tad neutral, but when you see them up close, the pink and blue pattern truly POPS and gives whoever is wearing them the perfect EDGE. Because of the color scheme, it also makes it extremely easy to wear this print around town, after your…

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! It’s clear that in the Hamptons and Hollywood there’s going to be some SERIOUS revelry and luxe shenanigans going down, but what do both cities have in common? Well, aside from both being a hotbed for celebrities and swanky parties, they also share that certain casual luxury style that emanates class, but with a hint of relaxation. WAIT – new hashtag: #CasualLuxe. I partnered with Bows-n-Ties to show you guys what to wear for one of those fancy parties on your agenda this weekend that isn’t overdressed or stuffy, but that makes you look stylin’ and uber suave. Bow ties often get a bad reputation because no one in their right mind knows how to tie one (including me, which had to change IMMEDIATELY after I received these classic pieces from Bows-n-Ties). However, once you get the hang of it, they’re really a total breeze and…

As most of you know, the term “preppy” isn’t just an adjective to describe me or my style – it’s more of a LIFEstyle – something I have always been attracted to. Spending summers on Eastern Long Island, prepdom was well-displayed and moreover, the casual luxury style ran rampant in my upbringing. With the commencement of summer mere days away, I wanted to kick off my favorite season with one of my favorite menswear designers who shares the same vision, Scott Barber; the head of a lifestyle brand that prides itself on creating a well-styled life for those who don its threads. I teamed up with the Scott Barber crew and sported some new gear for summer that I instantly fell in love with – from the color palette to the fabric, the pieces were light, comfortable, and showcased a distinct look that oozed pride and fearlessness – but not…

On Day 2 of my Coronado adventure, I awoke bright and early (which was funny due to the fact that I had partied the night away into the wee hours only a short time prior with Steven and Jessica) and was READY for the day. Turns out the hotel room Breezy, Court and I accommodated was amazingly satisfying – which I expected due to the Hotel Del Coronado’s esteemed reputation. Waking up with a fresh cup ‘a Joe and catching up on my morning magazines was not a bad way to start the day. NOT BAD AT ALL. Then, thanks to the Perpetual Plannings of Breezy (which I think should be the title of her next book), we decided to meet up with old college friends and new San Diego residents, Terry and Mike, for a Champagne Cruise around the bay. I mean, can you say “right up my alley”?…

I just returned from spending a few days down in Coronado, an island barely off the coast of San Diego that is connected to the Downtown area of the city by a long bridge. I had been to the island once before, a few years ago when my friends Lauren and Jessie came to SoCal to visit from New Jersey, but haven’t had the pleasure of returning since. This time, friends Sabrina (Breezy) and Courtney came back to soak up the Cali sun and dabble into the Hamptons to Hollywood world of revelry and fun. And let’s just say I think they got exactly what they came for. The first day there we spent exploring the Hotel Del Coronado, where they filmed Some Like It Hot, and I went denim on denim for a beachy casual look, which as the Champagne Society knows is my favorite attire to don. I…
