Fall is known as the season that could possibly be the most romantic. Chilled nighttime walks force you to cozy up close to your partner as you stride down the street, the beauty of the colored foliage makes you smile, and there’s a crispness that brings a new set of feelings. Dressing for fall is one of the best parts about the season too. Replaced by tank tops and flip flops are starchy new chinos and finely pressed shirts, perfect for a new school year or quarter at the office. However, because Hamptons to Hollywood never leans completely west or east, there’s still a way to incorporate the casual luxury of the warm weather we love for all our favorite fall fashion trends. Cuffing up the ankles of a new pair of slacks is the perfect compromise of business-meets-casual; fine lines and great fabric, yet isn’t taken too seriously. A…

While denim is a staple in any season, it may not be the first fabric that comes to mind when you think of fall—unless, of course, you reside in sunny Los Angeles or find yourself spending most weekends in the Hamptons. The more laid-back atmosphere of both locales make jeans a must-have for any number of autumnal occasions. And thankfully, designers seem to feel the same way. This season’s offerings feature a slew of fresh ways to wear denim, encompassing pieces that are simultaneously comfortable, versatile, and strike the perfect balance between casual and cool. Denim with Added Interest Classic denim is getting a makeover this season with embellishments, patchwork, and a bit of overall pizzazz. Fashion Beans reveals that there was a thread for embroidered denim running through the Autumn/Winter menswear shows—especially floral, as designers played with denim’s conventionally masculine workwear connotations. Rocking colorful blooms isn’t for everybody, though,…

It’s always fun to shake things up. Both the Hamptons and Hollywood are exceptional places to take risks because you know there’s always going to be someone there that’s a little bit crazier than you. One of our favorite trendsetting designers, Pedro Rubio Tailored, has the perfect avant-garde summer outfit for men that’s great for both of your favorite summer destinations. The top, made from ultra-soft fibers, is a new take on the mesh top, with bolder cutouts, yet offers a distinctly high-fashion pattern. Casual meets classy, if you will. The jeans, a Pedro Rubio staple, are customized for every body type. Whether you’re rocking short legs and a long torso, super skinny legs that go on for days, or more of an hourglass shape, each pair of Rubio’s jeans are tailored to fit perfectly according to the style you’re most comfortable wearing. Available in both washes, a darker wash…

If we learned anything from Miranda Priestly, it’s that fashion isn’t just about what you’re wearing, rather it’s more an expression of art. I was thrilled to be invited to the Opening Gala of LA Fashion Week, sponsored by O’gara with a VIP Lounge by The Agency. The Gala kicked off a week of shows in Los Angeles that showcased up-and-coming designers and seasoned pros who were showing off their latest collections. However, what was just as impressive as the models sporting the avant garde styles that adorned them was the ambiance and decor of the event space, which itself was a work of art as well. The venue was entirely “New York-esque” in that it reminded me of being in a Tribeca loft rather than a ballroom on Sunset Boulevard. Drinks with Bai were served and many photographers were littered throughout the room, expertly snapping photos of models and…

Sometimes you just have to venture out and explore while wearing a tank emblazoned with the name of your favorite vegetable, amiright? Truthfully this top was inspired by Beyonce’s 711 video which I was going to recreate on the balcony of my own penthouse, but the day after this photoshoot, my shirt was stolen from right under my nose on the beach in Malibu. In any event, I went out to explore my new neighborhood wearing my Kale tank, American Eagle jeans – which are one of the softest pairs of jeans I own, yet still retain their denim structure that makes jeans so coveted – and some white sneaks. Basic shoes and a basic bitch t-shirt are really all you need on a leisurely jaunt around town. The Hamptons and Hollywood are all about casual luxury and sometimes less is more. Plus, keeping it simple allows you to get…

Springtime has hit Los Angeles and I could not be more excited! As the days have been growing increasingly warm, the more and more I want to be outside soaking up the Cali sun. However, Hollywood can be a fickle mistress, so layering is always best. You never know when a fierce Santa Ana wind is gonna blow your way and send you home shivering. I picked up this jacket from French Connection and I am newly obsessed with it because it is perfect for spring. It’s not too heavy, but feels like it could protect me enough from a chilly evening in the Hollywood Hills. It’s perfect for jetting around town when you want to look stylish, but not overstated (aka the Hamptons to Hollywood mantra). Paired with a pair of skinny jeans, a basic white tee, glasses (you could try these out as your accessories), and Adidas, the…

While every other blogger known to mankind is snuggling up in their new fall sweaters and clutching their pumpkin spice lattes as they crunch over newly fallen leaves, Los Angeles is experiencing a HEAT WAVE, making it all the more unbearable to don any sort of new jacket or cozy cardigan that I REALLY WANT to style. Actually, I really can’t complain. While said blogger’s are experiencing the frigid first Autumn nip, I was out yachting last weekend. Ahh, the choices we make in life. ANYWHO – LA temperatures will be dropping soon, so I got the jump on what I’ll be wearing this “fall”. Joggers have been on a hot streak lately and while I wasn’t sure I was a fan, like an annoying pop song I really wanted to hate, they’re growing on me. I picked up this pair, and the cardigan, at Forever 21, so the look…

I was recently invited to my first Polo Match in Malibu and was beyond STOKED to attend. It’s probably the preppiest sport I can think of, so of course I sent in my RSVP as quickly as humanly possible to reserve my spot, being a lover of all things fancy and highfalutin. And because of Polo’s rich history of prestige and pretense, I knew I had to really out-prep myself for the occasion. Cue my polo whites: I donned a basic white button down with a pair of white shorts as the base of the outfit, then added a few beige accents to tie everything together and make it pop. A gold bow tie from Bows-N-Ties, a hand stitched off-white belt, and casual beige vans so as not to appear like I was trying too hard. Simple, classy, and classic – you can’t go wrong. Of course it didn’t hurt…

Last night I was invited to the launch of Syndney-based interior designer, Greg Natale’s new book, The Tailored Interior, which was held at The Jonathan Adler Melrose showroom in Los Angeles. Connoisseurs of the furniture and design world congregated to meet Greg, receive signed copies of his latest book, and browse the entire Jonathan Adler collection of home goods that blend whimsy and functionality all into one package, if you are looking in to getting new furniture to change your house design, see here this post named How to Select the Best Modern Luxury Furniture?. The Tailored Interior, published by Rizzoli/Hardie Grant, has a foreword by Jonathan Adler himself, and is a celebration of bespoke styling that will inspire both established design professionals and aspiring home decorators. Many designers and architectures find inspiration and ideas in places like archute to make spaces greater. Melbourne outdoor lounge furniture has a lot…

Summer is officially here! You know what that means; day-long adventures at the beach, tanned skin, cold drinks, wild nights, and fun with friends. Does it get much better? As you all know, the Hamptons to Hollywood pick for menswear swimsuits is Syndicut London! The good news? They just cranked out an entire new line for even more variety to be seen on the beaches from Montauk to Malibu. I decided to do a little exploring on the beach in Marina Del Rey in Syndicut’s new “Syniwave” print, designed by George Lewin. What’s fun about this print is that from far away it’s unassuming and a tad neutral, but when you see them up close, the pink and blue pattern truly POPS and gives whoever is wearing them the perfect EDGE. Because of the color scheme, it also makes it extremely easy to wear this print around town, after your…

I get a hard time for wearing ultra-preppy outfits in LA because – as I always hear – I look too “East Coast”. And then I’m all, have you heard of HAMPTONS to Hollywood? That’s the point! Anywho – crew neck sweat shirts can be the ultimate “underground” prep accessory, and when I say underground, what I mean is that you wouldn’t normally think of it being such an accessory. Abercrombie & Fitch, a brand that has re-fashioned itself to cater to the preppy culture, has lots of pieces like this and I kinda couldn’t turn down this look. It’s different, it’s fun, and it keeps me (and you) looking youthful. However, now that I’m looking at these photos I totally feel like I’m pulling a Hester Prynne right now. (mad kudos if you get that reference) Look at that “A”! #Adultery I also recruited my friend Jake, who was…
