Work at the clinic is moving along, albeit rather slowly.  I’ve been working at my natural pace and had the office I am working in organized in no time at all.  Completely.  It’s so clean you could eat off my desk.

So, because of my expediency, I was…well, promoted may be the wrong word…

REASSIGNED.  Yeah, let’s go with that, to the Boiler Room.

The Boiler Room is this 12’x13′ room where, guess what? The boiler lives.  However, it also has a graveyard of file cabinets stuffed with documents probably from the ’60’s.  And guess whose job it is to rummage through and categorize everything?  This guy.

It’s all good though because I really am becoming an organizational machine.  I know, my Mom would have a coronary if she heard me say that judging from the way my bedroom looked from the ages of 8-20, but listen, Mom, this time, it’s professional.
The Room is secluded from all other forms of life (save for the tarantula I fear of finding every time I open a new drawer) by about 50 feet, so I’m not getting all that much practice networking and being the social mogul I could be.  I feel like I was sucked through a wormhole to a far off land where dustmites rule and darkness reigns supreme.  The only light I get is a sliver of sunlight if I crack the blinds, but because of the way the sun hits the building, I’m either blinded by brightness, or drenched in the dark.  There’s also this ambiguous hatch in the middle of the floor that I’m positive I’m going to find a dead body in one day.
Let’s hear it for my new office. 🙂
In other news, the other day I was perusing the net and instantly had an idea for a possible career path: Social Media Consultant!  How genius, am I right?  I’m blogging, tweeting, and facebooking all the time anyway, so I might as well try and get paid for it.  I’m going to take the idea for a test drive and help out Portobello’s with their social media platforms, that way I’ll have even more quantitative results to back up my skills.  (As if they couldn’t speak for themselves) eh? eh? #humblebrag

If any of you readers out there have any social media hurdles you can’t quite jump or have trouble thinking in 140 characters or less, contact me.  I would love to help out.

Also, here is a link to my online Writing Portfolio for everyone to check out.

Enjoy.
